Pokémon: Diamond Version

Pokémon Diamond Version starts out in Twinleaf Town where the player character begins their Pokémon journey with their rival under the guidance of Professor Rowan, Sinnoh's resident Pokémon researcher. Players travel from Jubilife City up to the towering Mt. Coronet, through the Sinnoh region, collecting Gym Badges, battling rival trainers and building their Pokémon team. During the course of the adventure, the player will encounter the mysterious Team Galactic, led by Cyrus, who wants to capture the legendary Pokemon Dialga (Diamond Version only) to build a new universe without the meaningless emotion and spirit they see in their own universe. To become the Sinnoh Champion, the player must thwart Team Galactic's plans, challenge the Pokémon Diamond Version ROM League of Sinnoh, and battle the Elite Four and Champion.

Pokémon Diamond Version sticks to the series’ core turn-based RPG formula, but adds a number of generation-defining mechanics: Turn-Based Combat: Battle wild pokémon and trainers with a rock-paper-scissors based type system and move selection. Physical/Special Split : Moves are no longer physical or special because of their type, but because of the move itself, which adds a lot of strategy. Pokémon Catches: Use attacks to lower the health of wild Pokémon and then throw Poké Balls to catch them. Build a team of up to 6 Pokémon active at the same time. Gym Badges & Elite Four: Collect badges by defeating eight Gym Leaders in Sinnoh, then battle the Elite Four and Champion of the Pokémon League. Sinnoh Underground - Use the touchscreen to dig for treasure, fossils and rare items, and build secret bases in the Sinnoh Underground. Wi-Fi Plaza & Trading: Battle and trade Pokémon with others (originally via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection), including species exclusive to Pearl Version.

Start a new game Choose a name and appearance for your character. Choose a name for your rival. Select your first Pokémon at Professor Rowan's lab: Turtwig, Chimchar or Piplup. Navigate around the Sinnoh region to towns, routes and dungeons using the D-Pad. Wild Pokémon encounter will be triggered by tall grass, caves, etc. You can also fight trainers on the route (they are visible). In battle, use moves wisely with the type advantage system and Physical/Special split. Throw Pokeballs at wild Pokemon and catch them to grow your team, but first weaken them. Earn Badges by challenging the Gym Leaders in each of the major cities, unlocking more powerful areas and HM abilities. Explore the main locations in Sinnoh as the story unfolds, and discover and foil Team Galactic’s plans. Challenge the Pokémon League Once you have collected all 8 Badges, defeat the Elite Four and the Champion to complete the main story.

Download your favourite emulator (melonDS, DeSmuME, DraStic, RetroArch) from romlibrary.com. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the emulator for your OS. Setup BIOS files (needed for melonDS/DeSmuME) as per emulator's official docs. Use the emulator's "Open ROM" or "Load Game" menu to load your game file which you own legally. Adjust the resolution, frame skip and audio for smoother exploration and combat. Map your controls (see keybindings below) or plug in a controller for the most authentic handheld experience. When you have started Pokémon Diamond Version, click Start/Play to begin your journey in Sinnoh.
