Pokémon SoulSilver Version is a Nintendo DS role-playing game that remakes the Pokémon Silver adventure. Players go back to the Johto region. They catch, train and battle Pokémon. Their goal is to become a Pokémon Champion. The game mixes exploration, turn‑based battles Gym challenges, Pokémon evolution, character growth and Pokédex completion. SoulSilver adds graphics and sound. It also adds touchscreen controls, more features. It works with the Pokéwalker accessory. Pokémon can travel with the player during the adventure. The Pokédex, Bag, PC Boxes and many other functions are handled by the DS touchscreen. The adventure also has Team Rocket, a character, legendary Pokémon and a huge collection of Pokémon to find. The USA release, for Nintendo DS happened on March 14 2010.

Pokemon: SoulSilver Version Story

In Pokémon SoulSilver, players return to the Johto region for a new adventure as a Pokémon Trainer. The player is given a first Pokémon and starts exploring towns, routes, caves, forests and other locations while challenging Pokémon Gyms. Along the way the Trainer catches and trains Pokemon, builds a team, meets a rival and gets involved with the activities of Team Rocket. The adventure eventually leads toward the Pokémon League, while legendary Pokémon and other challenges provide additional exploration beyond the main Johto journey.

Pokémon SoulSilver has the classic turn-based Pokémon battles. Players catch Pokémon in a variety of environments, train them, teach them moves, evolve them, and develop strategies for battling with them to build a team. Exploration is a huge part of the game. Players travel between towns and routes, find wild Pokémon, overcome environmental obstacles, battle Gym Leaders, and collect items. The DS touchscreen adds another level of interactivity for menus and handling Pokémon. SoulSilver also supports the Pokéwalker accessory, which enables a Pokémon to be transferred to the device and gain experience as the player walks.
