Metal Slug 7 is a run and gun action video game developed by SNK Playmore for the Nintendo DS. Released in the United States on November 18, 2008, the game continues the arcade-inspired shooting action of the series, with seven main missions, multiple playable characters, new weapons, enemies, and Slug vehicles. Players control characters such as Marco, Fio, Tarma, Eri, Ralf and Clark as they fight against General Morden's forces in locations such as Garbage Island and the Fortress of Ruins. The Nintendo DS version also adds the Combat School, which includes 80 training challenges and mini-games meant to test the player's skills.

Metal Slug 7 Story

Metal Slug 7 takes place after the previous conflicts with General Morden and his forces. Something mysterious shows up on Garbage Island, meaning the war is far from over. Marco, Fio, Tarma, Eri, Ralf and Clark are sent once again into the combat zone to face Morden's forces. The campaign features seven missions in locations such as Garbage Island and the Fortress of Ruins. Along the way players will encounter enemy soldiers, traps, vehicles, bosses and new threats.

Metal Slug 7 features classic 2D run-and-gun gameplay. Players will progress through side scrolling levels taking out enemies, avoiding hazards, rescuing prisoners, collecting power-ups and fighting bosses.
