Kingdom Hearts: Re-coded

It all begins when they discover a strange message in a digital journal and a special team begins to investigate. To achieve this, a digital clone of a major character is created and sent into a virtual world composed of recorded memories and events, digitally reconstructed from an earlier point in the timeline of the series. Glitches and ‘bugs’ start to infect the environment, warping familiar terrains and throwing up new, disorienting obstacles as the digital hero navigates this reconstituted world. The series’ investigation slowly uncovers hidden messages and foreshadowing of future threats that are directly tied to the larger Kingdom Hearts continuity and help set up story threads for future installments.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is a real-time action combat game, featuring light puzzle and system-based mechanics: Real-Time Combat - Fast-paced action battles with combos, magic and special skills against enemies. Command Deck System - Create and customize a deck of attacks, spells, and items to use in combat. Bug-Blox / System Sector Segments – Special stages with different rules (racing, shooting, puzzle based) departing from normal combat. Stat Matrix Customization – As you progress, assign points to customize character stats and abilities. World Exploration – Digitally reimagined versions of iconic locations from the series, each with their own enemies and secrets, are yours to explore. It mixes traditional action RPG leveling up progression with experimental mechanics unique to the game's "digital world" premise, allowing for different pacing between normal exploration/combat and specialized mini-game style segments.
