This is the story of a hotshot rookie racer who gets stranded in a sleepy little town far from the big racing circuits after a mishap on the road. An unwanted detour that gradually becomes a journey of self-discovery. The rookie meets a colourful group of locals, each with their own characters, stories and skills, who help fix both the town’s road and the racer’s outlook. As players level up they’ll participate in local races, do favours for townsfolk and unlock new areas of the map. The bigger story arc is about learning patience, teamwork and community spirit before the big final race that decides whether the rookie goes back to the pro circuit — or learns the real value of where they ended up.

The core gameplay is based on arcade racing, open world exploration and mini-games: Story Mode – Unlock new areas of town and characters by playing through chapters. Free Roam - Explore the town and surrounding roads at your leisure. Races & Challenges – Circuit races, time trials, stunt challenges and tow-truck missions. Side Missions – Complete missions for NPCs to earn rewards, upgrades and new paint jobs/customizations. Collectibles – Hidden tokens and items hidden around the map that unlock bonus content. The game uses simplified, accessible controls, making it approachable for both casual and younger players while still offering enough race variety to stay engaging. Load the Cars ROM into a Nintendo DS emulator. Begin Story Mode. Finish races and missions. Unlock new events and win trophies. Improve your driving skills and be champion.

Insert/Access the game files from your licensed copy (disc or verified digital copy). Run as Administrator Setup/Installer (setup.exe). Follow the prompts on screen to select your installation directory. Allow the installer to add any required components (such as DirectX, Visual C++ redistributables, etc) if prompted. If using a modern Windows OS: install then run in Compatibility Mode. Right click on the game .exe file > Properties > Compatibility tab Select an older version of Windows (Windows XP or Windows 7 for example) Run as administrator Before you start playing the game, adjust display, audio and control settings. For older directx games , if you have graphics issues on modern GPUs , try compatibility tools or updated wrapper libraries .

This is a native PC title so no need for any emulator to run it.
