Animal Crossing: Wild World is a Nintendo DS life and social simulation game where you move into a quaint village filled with animal residents. Instead of following a traditional linear storyline, the game revolves around everyday activities, exploration, customization, collecting, and interaction with villagers. Players can decorate their home, purchase furniture and clothing, catch fish and insects, collect fossils, grow plants, visit shops, and take part in seasonal events. One of the game's defining features is its real-time clock. The village changes according to the time of day, calendar, weather, and season, giving players different activities to discover throughout the year. The Nintendo DS touchscreen provides an additional way to interact with the game, while wireless functionality originally allowed players to connect with others.
