New Super Mario Bros (Nintendo DS) Story

Mario is walking with Princess Peach when he sees a giant Bowser Jr. (actually Bowser, transformed by a mysterious spell) kidnap the princess and take her to his castle. To rescue Peach, Mario sets off across the Mushroom Kingdom, crossing grasslands, deserts, mountains, forests and finally Bowser's fortress. Along the way players learn Bowser Jr. has been using a special item (the Red Shell/Mini-Mushroom-like device in later plot reveals) to grow Bowser to giant size at key points. The final showdown takes place in Bowser's Castle, and it's a classic boss battle to save the princess all over again.
