Akiba's Trip

The story follows a young protagonist who is attacked by mysterious beings after investigating suspicious activity in Akihabara. He survives the encounter and finds out there are powerful supernatural enemies, called Shadow Souls, hiding among the ordinary people. Tracking the growing menace, helping local citizens, and uncovering the truth about where the creatures came from, he works with a team dedicated to saving the city. Throughout the adventure, players meet a diverse cast of allies and rivals, complete story missions, and influence certain events through their choices.

Akiba’s Trip features third-person action gameplay, with exploration and RPG-style progression. Players can wander the streets of Akihabara, take on side missions, purchase equipment and battle Shadow Souls in real time. The signature combat mechanic involves weakening an opponent before stripping pieces of their clothing, exposing them to sunlight and defeating them. Players can also visit shops, upgrade their equipment, talk to NPCs, and take on optional objectives to level up their character, in addition to combat.

In Akiba's Trip, you explore the streets of Akihabara while completing story missions, interacting with NPCs, and battling supernatural enemies known as Shadow Souls. During combat, weaken an enemy by attacking them, then remove pieces of their clothing to expose them to sunlight, which is the primary way to defeat them. As you progress, you can purchase better equipment, customize your character, complete side quests, and unlock new abilities to become stronger. Exploring the city, upgrading your gear, and completing missions will gradually advance the story and reveal new areas and characters.
