Rhythm Heaven does not have a traditional, linear storyline, as you would find in an RPG or adventure game. Instead, it’s a collection of rhythm-based mini-games, broken up into various “stages.” Every stage has its little theme or scenario. Like teaching monkeys how to play drums, running a robot factory assembly line or performing with cheerleaders. All of these activities are tied together by a playful comedic tone in which the player’s only real task is to stay perfectly in sync with the beat. Rhythm Heaven’s gameplay is simple: You have a musical beat to follow in the game. You have to press the correct button in time with the beat. Hit the A button (or whatever key you have mapped that to) exactly on the beat, not before or after. Upon finishing the stage you’ll get a rank: Good. OK. Try Again. If you get "Try Again" repeat the stage until you get "OK" or "Superb". Each time you complete a set of stages you unlock a new section with more mini-games and toys. Tip: Try to focus on the sound, audio clues, rather than visual clues, usually gives better timing results.
