Brings the old classics back to life

VisualBoyAdvance (VBA) is a GBA emulator. This means that the software simulates the hardware of a Gameboy Advance on your computer and enables you to play the old Gameboy games. Like the real Gameboy Advance, VBA is backwards compatible with the old Gameboy. The program offers extremely good compatibility for almost all games. The graphics and sound can hardly be distinguished from the original.

The software supports the file formats GBA-, GBC-, SGB-, GBA-Roms, which are required to run a game. In order for you to be able to use them legally, you have to call the corresponding original games your own. VBA is free as freeware and can run on Linux, macOS and Windows.

In addition to these main functions, the software has a number of useful extras. Among other things, you can take screenshots, record the sound, use graphic filters and time-lapse. The program also supports the use of joysticks and has a full screen mode.
